Currency exchangers want to impose a monthly advance income tax

The National Bank of Ukraine and the head of the relevant committee of the Council on Taxes and Finance Danylo Hetmantsev propose to introduce an advance payment of income tax for non-bank currency exchangers in the amount of three minimum wages per month, which, as of today, is 19.5 thousand hryvnias. The corresponding bill is registered on the website of the Parliament.

“Registered in the Parliament a draft law initiated by the NBU on the introduction of an advance contribution on corporate income tax for structural units of non-banking financial institutions that trade in currency values \u200b\u200bin cash. With the support of the bill by Parliament, the budget will receive a fixed amount of three minimum salaries per month for each exchange point.. Revenues will amount to about a billion hryvnia per year,” Getmantsev wrote on Facebook..

He added that currency exchange has always been considered one of the most profitable businesses, especially in times of crisis.. Recall that at the end of July, the NBU accused non-bank exchangers of artificially devaluing the hryvnia, forbade them to display the scoreboard with rates and introduced other restrictions.. In early August, the regulator also canceled the licenses of FC Constanta M, DSD Finance, 24 Online and Financial Guarantee, which own about 600 exchangers or 15% of the currency exchange market for violating the requirements of currency legislation.
