In the next 15 years, robots and artificial intelligence will take millions of jobs from people in the UK. According to research by PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PWC), the most robotics will hit trading and logistics employees, the Guardian newspaper writes..

Forecast consultants PWC does not bode well for people, as 30 percent of jobs in Britain will disappear due to the extensive use of artificial intelligence. In some sectors of the economy, robotics will cut half of jobs.

The history of previous industrial revolutions speaks for a positive development scenario for a person. For example, mechanization and introduction of conveyor production reduced labor costs in some industries, while creating many jobs in other sectors of the economy. It is expected that during the fourth industrial revolution the same will happen and the person will receive new tasks and deeds for the application of his forces. At the same time, consultants caution that employees with low skills compete with robots does not bear anything good. Moreover, the world is threatened by the growing inequality associated with such a washing out of the demand for low-skilled labor.

According to PWC, in the wholesale and retail trade of the UK in the high-risk group there are already more than 2 million jobs - and this sector employs the majority of the working-age population of the country. In production, the risk of losing their jobs and-for robots is available for 1.2 million workers, in administrative and support services - for 1.1 million, and in logistics - for 950,000 people.

Future generations will have to constantly improve their skills, as creativity, emotional intelligence and social skills are the least amenable to robotics. This is the key to successful competition between a person and a robot, consultants say.
