A group of hackers from Ukraine created a fake version of the Reserve+ mobile application, which completely imitated the official application of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, but was paid. In this pseudo-application, users could independently change their credentials and “add” a deferment from conscription, the Security Service of Ukraine reported.

Access to the “clone” “Reserve+” cost 1200 hryvnia per month. After entering false data into the application, conscripts presented such fake electronic documents to TCC and National Police officers during checks.

According to the SBU, more than 4 thousand users logged into the application and tried to avoid mobilization.

The developers of the “application” were detained during searches in Kyiv, Rivne and Cherkasy. Computers, mobile phones, flash drives, bank cards and SIM cards with evidence of fraud were confiscated from them.. At the same time, cyber control specialists blocked the fake application.

Two detainees have already been informed of suspicion under articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:.

1 tbsp. 114-1 - obstruction of the legitimate activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations during a special period;

358 - forgery of documents, seals, stamps and forms, sale or use of counterfeit documents, seals, stamps, committed by prior conspiracy by a group of persons.

They face up to 8 years in prison.

Recently, the government service service “Diya” warned about the activity of a phishing site with a domain similar to “Diya”, where you can download a fake application to gain access to personal data. The site was blocked, but Ukrainians were urged to be careful.
