Napoli striker Romelu Lukaku has returned to Italy after leaving the club about a month ago without permission.
According to insider Nicolo Schira, the 32-year-old Belgian forward has already arrived in Naples and expressed a desire to start training with the team.
However, a meeting between the player and Napoli management and head coach Antonio Conte is due to take place soon, following which the Parthenopean coach and club president Aurelio De Laurentiis will decide on the possibility of the player participating in training with the team.
Lukaku previously left the Belgium national team during the March international break to focus on regaining his fitness. However, instead of returning to Italy, he decided to stay in Belgium and work individually under the guidance of his personal trainer, which was not agreed with the club.
Napoli demanded that the striker return by March 31, but when the player ignored this request, the club announced that disciplinary measures would be taken against him and further cooperation would be considered.
Let us remind you that Lukaku missed a significant part of the current season due to injury and returned to the field only at the end of January. During this time, the striker took part in seven Napoli matches, scoring one goal.
