In the Sverdlovsk region, from May 4 to 6, the traffic police conducted a "Safe Road" raid, during which special attention was paid to pedestrians and car drivers who do not miss pedestrians at intersections and "zebras".

"All in all 5210 traffic violations were violated by pedestrians who crossed the roadway in an unoccupied place, as well as 1,539 drivers who did not give advantage to pedestrians were brought to administrative responsibility," the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Sverdlovsk region.

Recall that since the beginning of 2018 on the roads of the region, 32 pedestrians have already died, 4 of them on pedestrian crossings, 200 pedestrians received injuries of varying severity, 82 pedestrians crossed the roadway through a pedestrian crossing, 118 pedestrians themselves violated the Rules of the Road. At night, 22 pedestrians were killed, 71 pedestrians were injured.
