Musician and leader of the group “Vopli Vidoplyasova” Oleg Skrypka expressed his opinion about the biggest “sin” of Ukrainians, which hinders us on the path to a better future. According to the artist, during the period when the territories of our Motherland were under the control of Russia, a “low style” was imposed on society, which entailed “rednecks and vulgarity”.

As Skrypka emphasized, because of this, the modern Ukrainian nation has lost its taste, and therefore does not reach the level of the heritage of past generations.. He stated this in the “Vizia” project..

“The Ukrainian nation has a “sin” acquired over the centuries of Moscow colonization - this is low style, vulgarity and redneckness. I am convinced that this is not our nature, because our heritage - creative, spiritual, folklore, literary, song - has a taste. Ukrainian folk song has incredible taste. Modern society does not live up to this heritage precisely because of the lack of taste. Ukrainians need to get rid of this redneck,” said the leader of the group “Vopli Vidoplyasova”.

Oleg Skrypka believes that in order to say goodbye to this “sin” once and for all, Ukrainians must strive for high. According to him, our people should consume more high-quality cultural products.

" Then we will be worthy of our ancestors. Then we can build a society that our descendants will be proud of.. Each of us should not be allowed to produce a shoddy product.. You need to follow your heart. But the heart also needs to be nurtured and equaled to all the best,” the artist concluded.
