On October 7, Russian troops attacked the Borshchagovsky chemical and pharmaceutical plant in Kyiv. The company is one of the largest drug manufacturers in Ukraine. The extent of the damage is still unknown, reports Economic Pravda, citing a source in the pharmaceutical market..

According to Forbes Ukraine, Borshchagovsky Pharmaceutical Plant ranks seventh among domestic pharmaceutical manufacturers in terms of income. The plant produces more than 100 types of medicines, in particular cardiological drugs and antibiotics.

Did the strikes on warehouses and logistics affect Ukrainians’ access to medicines: the Ministry of Health dotted all the “i”s.

This is not the first blow to Ukrainian drug manufacturers recently. The Russians destroyed the Kusum plant in Sumy on October 4, and the capital's Darnitsa was attacked three times in September. Currently, Darnitsa owns 31.81% of the shares of the Borshchagovsky Chemical Plant: until 1994, the enterprise was part of it, and after privatization it became a joint Ukrainian-American.
