Ukrainians with internally displaced person (IDP) status are entitled to monthly government assistance for living expenses. The payment is prescribed for a period of up to 30 months, and its size is 2000-3000 UAH per person with enrollment in two periods - until the 15th and until the 28th of each month. So, in July 2026, the first payment took place on the 15th, and on July 28th it was the turn of those who had not yet received the money. Funds must be credited by Tuesday, July 28, inclusive. Thus, the conditions and rules for providing support are regulated by government decree No. 709 of July 11, 2023.

According to the updated rules, the most vulnerable categories of higher education institutions receive government payments for up to 30 consecutive months from the date of application (previously this period was limited to 24 months). In 2026, the monthly benefit amounts remain unchanged:.

In Ukraine, the previous three-stage schedule was canceled, when funds were transferred on the 3rd, 13th and 23rd. There are now two clear payment dates per month:.

In July, the last date of the second payment period (28th) does not fall on a weekend, so the schedule should not shift. If this happens, bank cards are topped up earlier - at the end of the working week.

State assistance for living expenses is not the only type of financial and social support for displaced people. Evacuated Ukrainians can use other tools:.

IDPs can apply for cash assistance from the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) in the amount of 10,800 to 12,300 hryvnia. Additional payments are also made by UNICEF, the Caritas charity foundation, the Red Cross Society and other large organizations.

To solve the housing problem, displaced people can take advantage of the preferential mortgage of єOsel or join the state initiative "

The State Employment Service selects vacancies for IDPs. In addition, if necessary, displaced persons can receive a special voucher that will fully or partially cover the costs of obtaining a new, in-demand specialty..

Those who want to start their own business in a new place have the opportunity to receive a non-refundable grant for starting or relocating a business, as well as receive free training in entrepreneurship.
