Drunken militants forced OSCE observers to travel along a mined road east through. Petrovsky (beyond the control of the government, 41 km south of Donetsk). This is stated in the organization's operational report.

"The SMM patrol consisting of six officers on two armored vehicles was heading east through. Petrovskoe on the road, which observers used for the last time on February 20, 2018.

About 10 meters east of the intersection in the village the first car drove through a recently dug but well camouflaged ditch located across the road and filled with rubble, "the OSCE CMM. "At that moment, at the northern end of the moat, about 1 meter from the road, the observers noticed a suspicious object in a small depression, which was half buried with rubble. Cars immediately stopped.

According to observers, it was an anti-tank mine TM-62 with a remote control wire stretched to a mine from a bush on the north side of the road, and from a mine - even further south across the road to a recently excavated moat consisting of several small rounded depressions filled with crushed stone. The subject was 300 meters southeast of the location of the SMM camera in Petrovsky and 500 meters east of the eastern edge of the breeding site, "the report says..

"While the patrol was considering the possibility of using other roads to safely leave this region, a member of armed formations with signs of intoxication came from the eastern direction to the first SMM car, armed with an automatic (AK-74). He told the observers to leave the area immediately, adding that they would not be further to the east.

Despite the fact that the command of the SMM indicated to him the presence of a mine, he did not allow to drive eastward, thus leaving observers with no choice but to go back to the west, again moving the recently excavated ditch filled with crushed stone near the mine, "- noted in the Mission.

After that, the first SMM car drove along the south side of the road to the intersection as far as possible from the mine that was visible. At the crossroads, leaving the area, members of the Mission patrol saw other ditches filled with rubble, as well as a remote control wire stretched from a gravel-filled moat on the west side of the intersection. Patrol SMM safely returned to the base in Donetsk and reported the incident to armed groups, "the report says..
