Physical exercise can contribute to a more effective development of the brain and its cognitive abilities. The task of researchers from the University of Health and Science of Oregon, USA, was to determine whether regular exercise can lead to organic changes in the brain. The work was conducted on primates, 24 monkeys were used. Scientists explained their choice by wanting to exclude the influence of factors such as smoking, alcohol and overweight. The animals were divided into three groups, according to the Internet edition for girls and women from 14 to 35 years old Pannochka. Net The first group was trained on a treadmill five days a week for 20 weeks. The second group was not physically stressed at all. The third group was trained for 20 weeks, and then limited their mobility. Then the researchers estimated the volume of capillaries in the brain of animals from all three groups. The results of the study indicated that the volume of capillaries in monkeys exposed to physical exertion was significantly higher than that of untrained.

In addition, the researchers note that the changes were most noticeable in those monkeys who were least trained at the beginning of the study. Dr. Judy Cameron of the Oregon National Research Center of Pregnancy, USA, noted:

"Everyone knows that exercise improves cardiac activity and reduces the risk of obesity, but this study suggests that physical activity can literally cause organic changes in the brain". Researchers also noted that trained monkeys were more mobile than untrained monkeys, and during training they also learned much faster. "Exercise can probably lead to a greater capacity for concentration and this is another important reason to make people pay more attention to the sport," concludes Dr. Cameron.
