Among the comments accompanying the fiasco of Viktor Orban and his party in the parliamentary elections in Hungary, stand out the opinions of those who state that Viktor Orban is not a dictator, otherwise he simply would not have lost power in the elections, writes Vitaly Portnikov for the Zbruch publication..
The following is the text in the original language. Ale, don’t accomplish anything. Viktor Yanukovych, who also lived under the dictatorship of the Russian government in Ukraine, could have won the elections again, without provoking the imperious (and to be more precise, Putin’s) insurrection against the collapse of the dictatorship. Dictators will win elections, cast honest votes from a vantage point, if they control the judicial system, the media and create an election system that is comfortable for themselves. And such victories do not transform authoritarianism into democracy.
All the signs of the authoritarian regime in Ugorshchina are included – including with the election system. To make this clear, no further lectures are required.. It is enough to note that the Madyar and Orban parties share 15 hundreds of votes on the party lists and... only 3 of the 93 party seats in parliament. If only the opposition had not won so many majoritarian constituencies, it would have lost. And the majoritarian districts were also specially painted so that the Ugric village would have little advantage over the great cities. The existence of control over these places, as a matter of fact, did not change anything in the essence of this personalist regime. Opposition measures are being collected not only in Ugorshchina, but also in Turechchyna. And not only in the Turkish region, in which, and in the hours of Erdogan, political struggle is troubling, but also in Russia. It’s just that the Russian opposition figure is blamed on the bunks more than a hundred times for the Turkish.
So why did Orban heat up, how could this have happened Of course, there’s no point in talking about the “Zelensky effect” – especially since Peter Madyar can tell us a lot about Volodymyr Zelensky’s 2019 birth: he’s so young, passionate and devoted to “new people”.
Ale no! The “Zelensky effect” was created by Viktor Orban himself, since in 2010 a number of people came to power due to the current anti-nomenklatura electoral revolution. The most important Ugric voters have now found traditional elites with their corruption, overzealousness and ties to the oligarchy.. Orban, who was still remembered as the young and energetic prime minister of the first post-communist hours, sounding like a fresh blanket of the wind. Enthusiasm will be truly great - as fate will be in Ukraine in 2019. Over time, Orban chose a model not of competitive nomenklatura rule, but of a hermetic authoritarian regime. Don’t blame such regimes for the “Zelensky effect”. And what is the required effect
Partially, the results of the nutrition campaign were given for the 2020 year in Belarus. After 26 years of unchallenged panic, Lukashenko has come to grips with the situation, since it was no longer the national democrats who fought against them with their pro-European exasperation and the Belarusian one, but the people who were victorious with them. This was the very same thing: the system worked against its founder.
Lukashenko did not fight for the replacement of Orban, who is still the leader of the European country. By falsifying the results of the presidential elections and sparking a large-scale popular uprising against this falsification. Both Lukashenko himself and Putin, who was ready to overcome the situation in 2020 in order for the Poles to oust their restive vassal, did not experiment any more with the elections in Belarus.
Peter Madyar, as we know, comes from the “Orban system”. High vin and did not reach personnel heights in it, but in the role of a person one of the most important comrades of the leader of FIDES, who was part of the first echelon. Such a policy itself could instantly become a battering ram against Orban in great places and not destroy the province and the village. Orban’s system overcame Orban – it’s gone bad?
We actually don’t know the strain on this food. The history of the reform of communism in 1968 revolved around the “Feast Spring” and Radian tanks. When, for example, the 1980s, before the reign of the Communist camp, Mikhail Gorbachov, an enthusiast of changes in the Dusya “Fracial Spring” (would be a student’s resident, would have to put bags at the same time with one of the architects. Otherwise, they need to be extinguished and turn to authoritarianism - which actually began in 1991. It’s just that for the Radyansky Union, its satellites were already, fortunately, late.
If Peter Madyar effectively wants to dismantle the Orban system, this will clearly pave the way for strong political competition, liberal democracy and... lose power or change yourself. Since Madyar does not want to change and bend to save power, he will save Orbanism without Orban. Another, no less unsafe option: strong competition will lead to Orban’s return and his party – without Orban, but with Orbanism.
This has already happened. Orban hosted the great Prime Minister of Macedonia Nikola Gruevski, who was planning to visit Skopje Budapest.
Gruevsky's party then lost power, but in the wake of new corruption scandals, it quickly renewed its position and revived the regime, which turned the country into a civilized state of despair - before speech, after active. Well, we can also tell you about how Fico and Babish came to rule.
So, today no one can tell how the political situation in Ugorshchina will really change. Only one thing is obvious: in order to overcome the dragon, who has transformed the entire expanse into the dragon's league, it is not enough to be the leader of the glittering lords.
You really want to tell the Dragon's fortune by three rubles.
