Russia will try to use the probable death of the leader of IGIL Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, announced in the Russian Defense Ministry, for the sake of "image" component.
This was stated in the commentary to the "Observer" by the captain of the 1st rank of the US Navy, the ex-chief of staff of the NATO Military Liaison Mission in Moscow Harry Tabach.
"Russians simply declare that they have dealt a serious blow to terrorists. They use this as an argument that they really are fighting against IGIL, and not against a moderate opposition, as we call it. Although this, of course, is also nonsense. I have never seen the opposition moderate, "Tabakh said..
At the same time, he stressed that information about the abolition of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi requires careful verification.
"But I do not exclude that he really died. During the air strike no one is insured, "the captain summed up.
As reported by the "Observer", it became known where Igil moved the capital.
