The date of presidential elections in Montenegro became known

It is noted that the presidential election was appointed by the speaker of the Parliament of Montenegro, Ivan Bryovitch. However, if none of the candidates gets more than 50 percent during the first round, the second will take place in two weeks.

In turn, the current president of the country, Philip Vujanovic, has no right to stand for election because he served as president for two five-year terms.

As previously reported in URA-Inform, the European Commission has developed a draft European Union strategy for the Western Balkans. It provides for the membership of Serbia and Montenegro in the European Union in 2025.
