Russian President Vladimir Putin called the current situation in relations between Russia and Ukraine abnormal, he expects normalization in the future, RIA Novosti reports..
"Regarding our relations with Ukraine as a whole, it is absolutely an abnormal situation, when instead of constructive development of relations between two close, fraternal countries that are actually parts of the same people, the situation that we see today is developing," Putin said at a meeting with chief editors of Russian print media and news agencies.
He expressed the hope that after solving the question of the Donbass, which will sooner or later happen, the relations between Russia and Ukraine will be normalized.
