The key issue for the ministerial talks will be the role of the Federal Republic of Germany, together with France, within the framework of the Norman format to counteract Russian aggression. In this regard, the ministers will discuss further joint steps aimed at restoring the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine, as well as the release of Ukrainian political prisoners held in Russian prisons.

Klimkin and Gabriel will also discuss issues of "dynamic and fruitful" bilateral cooperation.

During the talks between the foreign ministers of the two countries, it is also planned to sign a bilateral agreement on the labor activity of family members of employees of diplomatic missions and consular institutions.
