According to 15 lawmakers and policy assistants, Trump's demands relate to the investigation of legislation whose figurants are his close associates and members of seven.

At the same time, North Carolina senator Richard Burr would like to know what kind of an investigation that overshadowed much of the first year of his presidential term.

Trump also expressed such requests in conversations with Senators Mitchell McConnell of Kentucky and Roy Blunt of Missouri. ?

Such requirements of the US president former chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, Democrat Dianne Feinstein later called "inappropriate" and constitute a violation of the principle of separation of powers.

In response, the White House was informed that Trump did not act in connection with the investigation of the case of a possible Russian interference.
