It is noted that according to the Defense Ministry, more than 800 residents of the occupied Crimea were sent to places of military service. In total, about two thousand Crimeans plan to call in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

According to the Foreign Ministry, according to international humanitarian law, the occupying state is prohibited from coercing persons under protection to serve in its armed or auxiliary forces. Just as it is forbidden to exert pressure and conduct propaganda in favor of voluntary entry into the army.

Representatives of Ukrainian and international human rights organizations have repeatedly recorded the facts of persecution by the Russian occupation authorities of the inhabitants of the Crimea for refusing to serve in the Russian army.

As previously reported in URA-Inform, a new appeal to the Russian army was announced in the annexed Crimea to the Crimea. Since October 1, the occupation authorities have begun the autumn conscription campaign in Sevastopol. At the same time, 400 selected residents of the city will be sent for service in the Russian army.
