According to the message, the main feature of the Ukrainian-American exercises will be a change in the structure of the headquarters, developed according to NATO standards. In particular, the headquarters this year will consist of direct leadership exercises and a separate headquarters of the Maritime Command.

It will also be different from the previous exercises and the method of conducting them. International maneuvers will take place in the mode of free play (free play).

In addition to Ukrainian and American military seamen, the exercise will include representatives from Great Britain, Belgium, Bulgaria, Greece, Georgia, Italy, Canada, Lithuania, Moldova, Germany, Norway, Poland, Romania, Turkey, France and Sweden.

During the Sea Breeze 2017, the multinational headquarters of the Naval Command will plan and manage the forces for the induction training manuals, taking decisions and directing not only the ship's tactical groups, but also the coastal and air components.

This will make it possible to test the ability of the naval command's perspective headquarters to manage forces in NATO standard operations.
