The press service of the Kiev City Council said that the rescuers successfully evacuated the man born in 1992 who tried to cross the Dnieper, but was tired and had to stop on the island.
The incident occurred yesterday, August 8, at about nine o'clock in the evening. Rescuers received a call that in the middle of the Dnieper River near the island "Lord" in Obolonsky district is a man.
Arriving at the scene, rescuers were looking for a man on the surface of the water, however, at that time, he had already reached the island, eyewitnesses told the rescue service. Rescuers brought a man to shore on a boat.
He did not need medical help.
