After pharmacies began selling antibiotics by e-prescription on August 1, the Ministry of Health announced the second stage of the introduction of an electronic prescription - for medicines containing narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances. The transition is expected from November 1. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Health.
It is noted that during the transition period, doctors will be able to use prescription forms of Form No. 3 for prescribing drugs.. And after connecting to the electronic health system, they will be able to issue e-prescriptions. Pharmacies for dispensing this category of drugs must register with the EPO.
Deputy Minister of Health for Digital Development Maria Karchevich notes that the introduction of e-prescription is the next stage on the path of Ukraine's European integration and ensuring the controllability of prescription drugs.
It is expected that from 2023 in Ukraine all prescription drugs will be dispensed by e-prescription.
Recall that in June the Cabinet of Ministers supported the bill on the legalization of medical cannabis in Ukraine.
