Prime Minister of Ireland Michal Martin, who arrived in Ukraine today, visited Borodianka, Bucha and Irpen. This was announced by the head of the Kyiv OVA Oleksiy Kuleba.

“Michal Martin saw with his own eyes the destruction caused by the bombing and targeted attacks on civilians during the invasion and occupation by Russian troops. The Prime Minister of Ireland expressed support for Ukraine at this difficult time,” Kuleba said..

According to him, there are currently about 40,000 Ukrainians in Ireland, who were forced to flee from a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.. Kuleba thanked Ireland for constant support and assistance to Ukraine.



As part of the visit, Martin also plans to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and discuss with the Ukrainian authorities how Ireland and the EU can support the country's current and future needs..

Recall that Ireland froze the assets of Russians in the amount of 1.7 billion euros. They included the funds of the oligarchs of the Russian Federation, as well as enterprises and institutions associated with them.
