On Wednesday, June 8, Russian troops shelled 21 settlements in the Donbass, informs the Group of Joint Forces on Facebook.
Severodonetsk, Borovskoye, Lisichansk, Belogorovka, Zolote, Gornoe, Kamyshevakha, Toshkovka, Vrubovka, Ustinovka (Luhansk region), Avdeevka, Bakhmut, Kleschievka, Vuhledar, Novoselovka, Vileznoye, Novoselovka Pervaya (Donetsk region) suffered shelling.
Eight civilians were killed in the shelling and at least 16 people were injured. The largest number of victims - in Lisichansk and Kurakhovo.
More than 50 civilian facilities destroyed and damaged in a day.
Over the past day, rescuers evacuated 1,181 people from combat areas.
While Russia is focusing on the offensive in the central sector of Donbass, it remains on the defensive on its flanks, British intelligence analysts say.
