The International Committee of the Red Cross is preparing to organize a free humanitarian corridor from Mariupol to Zaporozhye on April 1, the ICRC said on Thursday.

The ICRC claims that their teams are already traveling with prepared supplies and medical supplies to be ready for the safe exit of the civilian population from Mariupol.



" The lives of tens of thousands of people in Mariupol depend on it,"

According to preliminary information, five thousand residents of the city, including 210 children, died during the 27 days of the siege of the city.. But the actual number of victims could be much higher..

Earlier, the Mariupol City Council reported that residents of those areas of the city that were under Russian occupation were forcibly taken to Russia. Almost 15,000 people fell under illegal deportation.
