Radars will appear on the roads of Ukraine, which will record the speed of cars in motion. The first such phantom cars will appear by July 1.
This was stated by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Anton Gerashchenko, reports the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to him, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Infrastructure have begun purchasing equipment that will record the speed of vehicles in motion..
“Now 4 cars are being tested, on which radars are installed, allowing to record the speed of an oncoming car, and a car going to overtake. By 2024, it is proposed to introduce 550 cameras that record violations of the speed limit in motion. Also, 117 TRUCAM devices are currently operating in Ukraine.. However, we plan to move away from such a model and switch to automatic recording of traffic violations, ”added Gerashchenko.
