The State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine signed an agreement with the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission on the renewal of the agreement on cooperation in the field of nuclear safety.

This is reported by the press office of the Ukrainian state institution.

"The exchange of technical information is very important for Ukraine, it will promote the development of the domestic nuclear safety.

This will be facilitated by cooperation in the framework of general scientific and technical programs and projects, the organization of study and exchange of specialists between Derzhatomregulyuvannya and the American regulator, "said the head of Ukraine's Derzhatomreguliuvannya Boris Stolyarchuk.

For the first time the agreement on cooperation between Derzhatomregulyuvannya and the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission was signed on April 10, 2006 in the US Rockwool.
