In Odessa on the French Boulevard near the monument to Cyril and Methodius today celebrated the feast of the Slavonic alphabet.
The monument is located near the building of Odessa National University. Mechnikov.
The event was attended by the regional leadership, representatives of the mayor's office, officials, deputies, the rector of ONU Igor Koval and others. In their speech, the speakers noted the importance of Cyrillic for all Slavic peoples, and laid flowers at the monument to the saints.
