The Football Association of England has eliminated the midfielder "Burnley" Joey Barton from any activity related to football for 18 months.
In addition, the 34-year-old player was fined 35,000 euros.
The reason for this was the active game of Barton on the sweepstakes in the period from March 26, 2006 to May 13, 2016.
In total, the footballer made 1260 bets during this period.
Barton acknowledged his guilt, but said that such a penalty is an exaggeration and admitted that now he is thinking over the end of his career.
