In March, the Verkhovna Rada was unable to pass a law on the cancellation of the seasonal change of time, which proposes to fix the winter time UTC + 2 according to the international system Coordinated Universal Time in Ukraine. People's Deputies talked about the possibility of canceling the government decree of May 13, 1996 on the procedure for calculating time on the territory of Ukraine, abolishing the transition to daylight saving time, but the Cabinet of Ministers did not take a corresponding decision.

In September 2011, Ukraine has already refused to change the clock. Parliament then adopted the relevant bill, but just a month later the decision was canceled due to the protest of citizens in the West of the country..

The transition to winter and summer time takes place in accordance with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 13. 05. 1996 № 509 " Every year on the last Sunday in March at 3:00 the hour hand is moved forward one hour, on the last Sunday in October at 4:00 one hour back.
