The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine excluded employees of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Ministry of Internal Affairs from the category of persons who are granted the status of a combatant. In particular, the relevant decree introduced changes to the procedure for granting and withdrawing the status of a combatant to exclude nonmilitary employees of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and others. military formations and law enforcement agencies formed in accordance with the laws of Ukraine from the category of persons to whom status of combatant.
The decree also applies to non-military employees of the National Guard, the Security Service of Ukraine, the Foreign Intelligence Service, the State Border Service, the State Special Transport Service and so on..
