Russians will be able to get a reward of several million rubles for helping them solve crimes and detain the perpetrators. The corresponding order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs came into force on Monday, August 27.

The amount of rewards can vary from 50 thousand to 10 million rubles.

At the same time, remuneration of up to 500 thousand rubles will be established by decision of the head of the territorial body of the Ministry of Internal Affairs or his deputy, up to 3 million - according to the decision of the deputy head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, over 3 million -.

Money can be paid to the informant both in cash and transferred to a bank account.

Until today, the police paid remuneration in exceptional cases, promising a premium for catching especially dangerous criminals. There is no special fund in law enforcement agencies, funds are allocated from the agency's internal resources for each specific case.
