The agency "Ryonghap" informs, referring to sources in the government, that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un secretly visited the military unit near the inter-Korean border in early August this year.
Sources said that Kim Jong-un visited the location of the military unit, which is located just one kilometer from the border with South Korea.
It is noted that the purpose of the trip of the leader of the DPRK remained unknown. However, it looks extremely atypical and may indicate Pyongyang's preparations for new military provocations against Seoul.
South Korea was previously called on North Korea not to use the exercise with the US as a pretext for provocations.
