Turkish embassy blamed for brawl in Washington on Kurds

A statement by the Turkish diplomatic representation in the United States says that the fight of the Turkish embassy in Washington was provoked by supporters of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), Izvestia reports.

The embassy was reminded that the PKK is considered a terrorist organization in the US and Turkey. RIA Novosti reports that according to the embassy, ??

PKK supporters gathered near the diplomatic mission and began provoking Turkish-American citizens who came to greet the president of Turkey.

The embassy statement said: "Violence and injuries were the result of this ill-conceived, provocative demonstration. We hope that appropriate measures will be taken in the future to ensure that such provocative actions, causing damage and violence, do not occur ".

It is also noted that Turkish-American citizens did not attack first, but defended themselves. As a result of the fight, one of them was seriously injured.
