"Rossiyskaya Gazeta" writes that the rescue operation on the Jergalan coal field in the Issyk-Kul region of Kyrgyzstan continued for two days. Miners who fell under the collapse, managed to bring to the surface.

As it was informed earlier, the emergency occurred on the evening of April 22. Due to non-compliance with safety regulations in the coal mine, a depth of 117 meters and a length of about 500 meters, there was a collapse. It was specified that two people remained locked, and the mine began to fill with water.

It is reported that the rescue operation involved local residents, representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan, as well as employees of one of the gold mining companies that provided equipment for pumping water from the mine.

The miners could not be pulled to the surface until this morning, April 24. The permanent representation of the government of Kyrgyzstan in Issyk-Kul oblast claims that coal miners are safe and sound.
