The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia announced the abolition of the visa-free regime for diplomatic representatives and journalists from the countries of the European Union. This is stated in the appeal on the official website of the department..

Separately, the Russian Federation has introduced additional visa procedures for members of official delegations, governments, parliaments, judiciaries and journalists from Denmark, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland..

“So, guided by the principle of reciprocity, the Russian Federation, in response to the unfriendly steps of the mentioned European states, by suspending certain provisions of the relevant international treaties, canceled the visa-free entry regime for holders of diplomatic passports, as well as the simplified procedure for issuing visas for members of official delegations, representatives of the judiciary and journalists.

Recall that earlier Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov got into another scandal, allowing himself an anti-Semitic statement. And already on May 4, the chief diplomat of the aggressor country met with representatives of the terrorist organization Hamas.
