Analysts at Credit Suisse raised the forecast for the growth of the Russian economy from 1.5 to 1.9 percent in 2017 and to 2 percent in 2018. This is reported by Rambler News Service, referring to the analytical review of the bank. "We are reviewing our forecasts of annual GDP growth in real terms, towards a modest increase to 1.9 percent in 2017 (from 1.5 percent) and to 2 percent in 2018 (from 1.7 percent)," the survey says.. Analysts of the bank note that in the second quarter of this year, GDP growth accelerated to 0.9 percent, which is associated with increased investment demand in the energy and transport sectors. However, they consider such rapid growth a temporary phenomenon and predict the return of indicators to the levels of the first quarter (0.5 percent). Credit Suisse also predicts inflation at the end of 2017 at 3.6 percent and expect a decrease in the key rate of the Central Bank in 0.25 percentage points increments at the next two meetings of the Board of Directors of the Bank of Russia, which will be held on October 27 and December 15, 2017.

Thus, according to their forecasts, the rate at the end of the year will be 8 percent. September 15, the Central Bank raised the forecast for GDP growth in 2017 to 1.7-2.2 percent. According to the forecast of the Ministry of Economic Development, the Russian economy will grow by more than two percent this year. The International Monetary Fund expects that GDP will increase by 1.4 percent, while in Bank of America it is forecasted an increase of 1.8 percent.
