US President Donald Trump did not shake hands with German Chancellor Angela Merkel simply because she did not hear the cries of journalists "shake her hand".
This is reported by AP.
"Then somebody shouted:" Shake her hand, shake her hand, "but I did not hear. You know, we've been in each other's company for a long time, and I've shaved her hand four times already, "said Trump.
The US Head noted that he managed to achieve "incredible mutual understanding" with Merkel, despite disagreements over contributions to NATO and immigration.
"People pay tribute to me for the remarkable relationship that I have with all the leaders, including (Egyptian President Abdel Fattah) as-Sisi," said Trump.
As reported by the "Observer", there was a video of an unpleasant incident in the White House with Trump and Merkel.
