The association "Opposition Platform - For Life" decided to nominate Vadim Rabinovich as a single presidential candidate, but he refused.

Rabinovich himself announced this on November 15 at a briefing that aired 112 Ukraine Channel.

"Yesterday, the conciliatory council of our bloc put forward my candidacy as a single candidate for the presidential election," he said.

According to the politician, the president should solve the "problem of war and peace" - and he could do it as well as take the country out of the economic crisis..

"But there is one more thing. Today, the section in the hearts of people was held according to Orthodoxy - and the president must necessarily be an arbiter in these matters as well, ”said Rabinovich.

"I thought for a long time this night - and it seems to me that I, a person professing Judaism, cannot and do not have the moral right to be an arbiter in matters of Orthodoxy, which is an absolute duty of the future president," he added.

"Therefore, I withdraw my candidacy. I will not run for president. And I’ll appeal to our council today so that the nominee is immediately put forward, "Rabinovich said.

According to Rabinovich, the party is confident in his victory, but for him the interests of Ukraine are more important than their own ambitions, reports Ukrainian Pravda.
