Latvia demands from Ukraine to exclude it from the list of offshore companies

It is noteworthy that the Foreign Ministry of Latvia called on Kiev to remove the country from the list. According to Rinkevics, the Ministry of Finance is already dealing with this issue.

As the minister asserts, in Ukraine incorrectly interpret the new Latvian legislation, which provides zero rate of tax on reinvested profits. Accordingly, this system can not be regarded as tax-free, since dividends are subject to taxation.

In addition, ambassadors of Latvia and Estonia work together on this issue in Ukraine, as Estonia also got on this list.



It is known that at the end of last year Ukraine included Estonia, Latvia, Iran, Cuba, Laos, Lebanon, Malta, Morocco, Monaco, UAE, Singapore, Georgia and Hungary in the list of countries whose transactions with counterparties are subject to control in the administration of the transfer pricing law.

Recall, as previously reported in the "URA-Inform", representatives of the European Union put forward their positions to exclude the eight offshore countries from the "black list". It is known that countries such as Panama, the United Arab Emirates, South Korea, Barbados, Grenada, Macao, Mongolia and Tunisia.
