On November 21 and 22, the leadership of one of the three most influential institutions of the Council of Europe.

"During the visit of the delegation to Kiev, meetings are planned with the leadership of the Cabinet of Ministers and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, with the Representative of the President of Ukraine on Crimean Tatar people Mustafa Dzhemilev, as well as with the Kyiv city authorities," said Vice President of the Chamber of Regions of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council Europe, Head of HOGA Yulia Svetlichnaya.

She also said that on November 22, with the participation of the leadership of the Congress and personally his president, Gudrun Musler-Thornstrom, the round table "Strengthening local and regional democracy in Ukraine". The event will be attended by the national delegation of Ukraine in the Congress, the leadership of the Association of Ukrainian Cities, associations of regional and district councils, village and village councils of Ukraine. Representatives of associations of united communities.

"Within the framework of the round table we plan to discuss a number of important issues, and besides - we will give an opportunity to the leadership of one of the most influential European representative bodies to get acquainted with the present state of affairs in Ukraine," said Yulia Svetlichnaya.



She noted that the visits to Ukraine by representatives of European regions significantly change for the better the idea of ??our country in Europe, as evidenced by the holding in Kharkov of the meeting of the Monitoring Committee of the Congress on June 27, 2017.

Recall, Yulia Svetlichnaya in October 2016 was elected Vice-President of the Chamber of Regions of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe, she is a member of the Bureau of Congress and is a member of the Monitoring Committee.
