According to the source, the American president is ready to define new vectors of US international policy, especially Iran.

The US leadership believes that Iran is pursuing a too aggressive policy in Syria, in particular by moments supporting militants.

The strategy was prepared by Defense Secretary James Mattis, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and other high-ranking US officials.

Trump, however, believes that the implementation of the strategy should be in the hands of diplomats and military, so as not to abuse power. The project itself can be published at the end of September.
