This is reported by The New York Times.
According to the newspaper, the conversation on this topic was tense.
For example, the Russian president demanded to provide him with evidence that Moscow somehow allegedly tried to influence the pre-election processes in the US.
As a result, Trump suggested that the interlocutor change the subject and move on to the issue of Syria.
"If the relationship between Moscow and Washington will be such as these talks, then again we can talk about positive cooperation between the two countries," said Vladimir Putin.
Recall, as reported, "URA-Inform," US President Donald Trump explained recently that the beginning of the G20 ("Big Twenty") was not bad.
