Turkey promises to defend the rights of the Crimean Tatars

The country will continue to uphold the rights of all residents of the peninsula and, in particular, Crimean Tatars against the backdrop of Russia's illegal occupation of the territory of Ukraine. This was announced on Thursday, July 6, by the Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkey Ahmet Yildiz.

Speaking at a conference on reforms in Ukraine in London, he noted that the Turkish Foreign Ministry will remain on the side of international law and advocate for the rights of all Crimeans. Turkey firmly believes that a well-reformed, united and independent Ukraine that preserves its territorial integrity, including the Crimea, is needed throughout the region, "he assured, noting Ukraine's achievements over the past three years.



At the same time, Yildiz stressed that Turkey will continue to support Ukraine, including the strategic plan presented by Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman and assured that the support will include, among other things, credit lines, humanitarian assistance, but first of all Turkish investments will go to private sector.

Recall, the Prime Minister of Ukraine is on a visit to London. He takes part in the conference on reform in Ukraine.

As reported URA-Inform, yesterday the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Canada said that he sees considerable potential in interaction with Ukraine.
