Such information was reported by Director of the NATO Information and Documentation Center Barbara Maronkov at a press conference on topical issues of Ukraine's foreign policy and security policy.

According to her, the parliament legislated the intention of Ukraine to obtain membership in NATO.

However, the North Atlantic Alliance did not receive any applications for accession from official authorities.

Maronkova also stressed that NATO focuses on the implementation of the tasks identified at the Warsaw Summit in 2016, as well as on the implementation of reforms in the Defense Ministry in Ukraine.

Recall, as reported by "URA-Inform", Montenegro on Monday, June 5, handed over the act of joining NATO to the Deputy Secretary of State of the United States of America, Thomas Shannon.
