Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi, who previously could have been pressured when preparing a report on the ZNPP, announced the start of consultations on the creation of a nuclear safety zone at this largest nuclear facility in Europe. The situation is stated on the Twitter page of the department.
The agency clarifies that yesterday it was possible to restore the backup power line, which allowed the operator to stop the last operating ZNPP reactor.
