The day off, which was in Ukraine after the first virus attack, softened the situation and made it possible to restore part of the system.

The consequences of the hacker attack on June 27 may come to the attention of the Ukrainian economy in the second and third quarters of this year, said senior analyst of the Forex Club Andrey Shevchishin. In his estimate, the losses will be associated with the long downtime of companies affected by virus attacks.

If the economy is completely idle, it would cost about 0.27% of GDP per day.

"Of course, hacker attacks affected not the entire economy, but only part of it, but quite active. So the losses will be. We are talking not only about the suspension of economic activities, but also about the suspension of a number of compulsory payments, the breaking of contracts and other things that threatens reputational risks and penalties, "said Shevchishin.

As the analyst suggested, about 30% of the most active enterprises in the sphere of trade, services and finance suspended work on the wave of hacker attack.

"You can consider 30% - as the number of workers who stopped working, or the total losses from the idle sectors, because the shops were working, some of the operations were available to customers and t. About 10% of enterprises and companies of other sectors of the economy were "immobilized." Presumably, the problems affected only the financial and management part. As a result, the loss from stopping the work of these business entities could be 0.05% -0.075% of GDP or about 335 million UAH. Accordingly, each additional day will increase the loss of GDP, "- calculated Shevchishin.

The day off, which was in Ukraine after the first virus attack, on June 28, according to the expert, softened the situation, and gave the opportunity to restore part of the system. Nevertheless, not everyone was able to make the full.

"As a result, direct losses could amount to 0.1% of GDP. Other types of losses, reputational, penalties associated with the need to restore systems, the purchase of new equipment and t. , Can also fluctuate within the range of 0.05-0.1% of GDP or more than 300 million UAH. ", - said the analyst.

How much exactly lost business, it becomes obvious after the publication of macroeconomic statistics for June-July. "We estimate possible losses to 0.2% of GDP," the expert concluded..

Figures can change with repeated attacks and delaying the elimination of problems.

As is known, on June 27, the largest hacker attack, spread by the Petya virus, was inflicted on Ukrainian banks, energy companies, state-owned Internet resources and local networks, Ukrainian media and a number of other large enterprises.

The attack began almost simultaneously around 11:30. The virus blocking the operation of computer systems has spread very quickly.

It manifests itself in the failure of computers on the Windows platform - the infected computer is overloaded and the virus encrypts all the data on it.

Later, Ukraine's Cyber ??Police published a number of councils, the observance of which would help prevent a dangerous virus.

It also became known from the company ESET, which develops software to combat harmful computer programs, that Ukraine had the most attacks of the Petya virus - 75.24% of the total in the world.
