In May this year, Ukrainian automakers produced 722 cars. This is 22.2% more than in May last year, and 16.3% more than in April 2017.
Most of the volume of auto production is made up of cars - in May they produced 662 units. This is 16% more than the April figure and 40% last year's May.
Buses in this May in Ukraine produced 50 pieces - 2% less than in April, but 35.1% more than in May 2016. ZAZ in May produced 100% of Ukrainian trucks - 10 units, reports TTS with reference to the data of "Ukrautoprom". AvtoKraz does not provide data on production volumes since August 2016.
In the first five months of 2017, Ukraine produced a total of 2,786 vehicles. This is by 67.1% more than in January-May of the previous year. Of these: cars - 2353 pcs.. (+ 82.7% against the same period last year); Commercial vehicles - 163 pcs.. (-50.8%); Buses - 270 pcs.. (+ 462.5%).
Recall that in the first quarter of 2017, Ukraine imported 212 buses with a total customs value of $ 10.1 million. This is 12% more than for the same period in 2016. The total cost of purchased buses grew by almost $ 7.5 million.
This year the share of new equipment in the purchase of buses is 39%, which is 29% more than in the first quarter of last year. This explains the increase in the cost of imported buses.
