The rapid slowdown in annual inflation in April was expected and occurred primarily as a result of the exhaustion of the influence of a number of administrative factors. Such factors were the increase in tariffs for natural gas in April last year. The actual inflation in the annual measurement was slightly lower than the forecast trajectory of the National Bank published in the Inflation Report (April 2017), which suggests a slowdown in the CPI growth to 9.1% at the end of 2017.
