All policemen in Odessa donned a red poppy on the form in memory of the victims of World War II

All the staff of the Main Directorate of the National Police of Odessa put on a red poppy - a symbol of the memory of the victims of World War II. This was reported on his Facebook page by the adviser to the head of the State Unitary Enterprise in the Odessa region Ruslan Forostyak.

The Red Poppy is a symbol of the memory of the victims of all military and civil armed conflicts.. In Ukraine, the symbol was first used in 2014 during events dedicated to the anniversary of the end of the Second World War in Europe.

The image symbolizes a poppy flower and a bloody trail from a bullet.

Since 2015, Ukraine marks the Day of Memory and Reconciliation on May 8.
