Twitter company has increased its user base, but still remains unprofitable

Twitter company published a report for the first quarter of fiscal year 2017. The company's revenue for the three months was $ 548 million compared to $ 595 million a year earlier.

Twitter continues to be a loss-making company. In the past quarter, a net loss was $ 62 million against a loss of $ 80 million in the first quarter of last year.

However, there are also positive aspects. For example, the company said that the monthly number of active users increased by 9 million, to 328 million people. At that, the daily number of active users increased by 14%. Also, revenue from advertising sales increased by 17%. All this led to the fact that Twitter shares rose by 10%.
