Sharp plans expansion in the global smartphone market

Japanese electronics manufacturer Sharp intends to strengthen its position in the smartphone market, giving increased attention to the international arena.

According to the DigiTimes portal referring to the edition of Economic Daily News (EDN), Sharp plans to deliver more than 1 million smartphones in the financial year 2017, which will end at the end of March 2018 calendar.

The company updated the market strategy. Now all the flagship smartphones Sharp will be sold under one brand - Aquos R, which will replace the line Aquos Zeta, Aquos Series and Aquos Xx, promoted by different distributors.

Sharp returns to the Chinese smartphone market after four years of absence.

To work in the country, the company appointed the head of the relevant unit of Lou Zhongsheng (Lou Zhongsheng), the former vice president of the manufacturer of smartphones Coolpad Group.

In addition, Sharp plans to begin selling smartphones in Europe in 2018, using one of its subsidiaries.

Recently, Sharp introduced in the Taiwanese market smartphone Sharp Z3. This model costs about 460 US dollars differs 5.2-inch 2K-display with high brightness (up to 520 nits).
